Transformed by fire, water and nurtured intuition of Balinese craftsmen, the seat of this beautiful stool is made of Bamboo also known as “Green Steel”.
Bamboo used for the composition of the stool is harvested from the deep green forests of Bangli, located in the northeast part of the lush Island of Bali. The bamboo that continues to live in this stool, is carefully chosen to ensure that it can withstand the rough and tumble of many years of use.
The design is a culmination of many years of inspiration and desire to create beautiful things from a sustainable material that is Bamboo. Employing indigenous techniques of bending and weaving, combining traditional and modern materials while respecting the integrity of each, every single piece of the seat is diligently crafted by hand. The result is an eye-catching fusion of eastern and western design intuition and craftsmanship.
The contrast of matte black steel frame with the natural earthy beige, calming yet warm color of bamboo achieves Zen like balance to compliment a variety of color palette.
